June Store Update

Finally back with an update for the store this month after skipping the May update.

Cheaper Postage & More Options
In the coming week, we will have more postage options, including FedEx/TNT overnight express, and also cheaper postage options for those in regional areas as well as metro areas. Some of the rates for metro areas will enable us to possibly offer free shipping for certain order sizes. The checkout will also include exact rates from our freight and postage partners, providing complete and total transparency, while also saving you money in most cases. More details to come soon.

When will you get more of XYZ?
After a couple of delays that had us climbing up a tree going crazy for it, the restock and new stock will arrive in the next few days.

New Website When?
Between testing new filament and other boring things in the background, we are slowly working towards complete control of our own platform, but this takes time. A large priority is ensuring we have a secure, responsive, and fast new site where we have complete control but can also leverage it to deploy solutions we think will make for a better shopping experience.

New Photos Sitewide & a Test Model
With the new shipment, photos of every filament will be exactly the same across the site, so no more pesky slight differences between photos. We've also internally modeled our own test model for printing, and this will be used to show customers in person what every color and filament type looks like. On the website, every product will have a test print so you know exactly what you are buying. Test print file will be available soon when we launch the file section for all our designs.

We are debating publishing hex codes for our entire filament range but haven't had many requests and would rather not give away all our secret sauce.

More Payment Options
We've had some good feedback over the last few months about offering a few more payment options, and we are happy to commit that we will be offering a few more starting soon.

Filament Guarantee
Under our returns and warranty policy found at the bottom of the site, we have a filament quality guarantee, including our diameter tolerance for filament. We want everyone who buys from us to have a good printing experience and to be able to spend more time printing and enjoying the hobby rather than fighting with bad filament or issues. We believe in standing behind what we sell, and we will put our reputation and money where our mouth is.

Will You Offer Profiles & Data Sheets?
Yes, we are actually going to offer data sheets in the future for most filaments and will be working with a local Australian lab to do our testing. We've noticed a couple of other stores around fudge data sheets based off Bambulab's work on their own, which really annoys us, hence the decision to do it with independent, verifiable testing by a third party.

We still stand behind the belief of not offering printing profiles as there are so many variables such as printer environment, the printer, cooling, hotend, flow, temp. There are just so many variables, and yes, we could offer profiles, but what good is it when the best advice is to start with the generic profiles the printer recommends and use our testing temp range and calibrate flow. With our own testing using Bambulab's P1S, X1C, A1, and Prusa's MK3, we've found the generic profiles for those machines are fairly spot on. Some of the more exotic filament types, such as those with chopped carbon fiber, do require a little bit of flow calibration. We know tuning is boring and can be a chore, but if you want the best results, you sometimes have to do it.

Feedback is Important to Us
Everyone always says they care when selling stuff, but we really do and love talking to every kind of person interested in 3D printing. If you pick up, you know I personally love chatting about 3D printing and spend far too long rambling, which I do apologize for. If you ever have any feedback or suggestions, we would love to hear it, as we can't improve unless you give it to us.
